Innovation on demand does not exist
Innovation on demand does not exist! This is why organizations must have a continuous innovation process in place. If we try to start innovating, by the time you need the new ground breaking idea — then it is already too late. We must have a backlog of promising ideas ready to validate and then scale, when market conditions and customer expectations change.
As Tiago Forte wrote in his book „Building a second brain“: „We can’t expect our self to instantly come up with brilliant ideas on demand. … By the time we sit down to make progress on something all the work to gather and organize the source material needs to be already done.“
